We have a comprehensive offering of peels for every skin type or concern. Facial peels are used in skin rejuvenation and each different strength of peel helps to address various skin concerns such as, stimulate collagen, reduce hyper-pigmentation, soften lines and wrinkles, clear acne skin conditions and reduce or eliminate acne scars. AHA’s work superficially and the VI peel, penetrates into the deeper dermis as well as resurfacing the outer epidermis.

 

Some peels are more suitable for specific skin types. Your practitioner will advise a bespoke treatment plan tailored to your individual skins needs. Your professional peel cost includes – Initial consultation, peel procedure and a homecare kit filled with the essential Medik8 aftercare.

 

 

 

 

 

Sensitive PHA Peel - £85

Designed for sensitive redness-prone skin types, Medik8 have incorporated gentle and hydrating gluconolactone into the Sensitive PHA peel. This peel formulation helps to trigger a healthier skin tissue regeneration, resulting in luminous, retexturised and smooth skin.

Key Benefits - Very gentle surface exfoliation with PHAs. Helps to renew the texture of the skin, minimising uneven skin tone to build a plumped, fuller epidermis. Time Release Technology to slowly release acids into the skin, minimising irritation while maximising performance.

Total Acid Content - 30% gluconolactone.

*Clients can expect slight tingling while the peel is on the skin. It should cause minimal downtime on the skin and some very light flaking, but rarely peeling. There is also very little chance of coagulation or an intense reaction

 

Universal AHA Peel - £85

Universal AHA is a light peel which gently resurfaces the skin to enhance smoothness and clarity. It is suitable for everyone, particularly for clients who are newer to peeling treatments. It is also perfect to use as a maintenance peel for clients who have generated sufficient skin health results already with Medik8 Signature Peels.

Key Benefits - The perfect combination of acids for a maintenance treatment. Time Release Technology to slowly release acids into the skin, minimising irritation while maximising performance.

Total Acid Content - 8% glycolic acid, 8% mandelic acid, 8% lactic acid

Eye Reveal Peel - £50

Eye Reveal is a peel specifically developed to correct concerns such as crow’s feet and dehydration lines surrounding the delicate eye area. It has lower levels of exfoliating acids to be safer to use closer to the eye area. It helps to trigger collagen production, smooth over texture, and minimise fine lines and wrinkles.

Key Benefits - Combination of low level AHAs and PHAs to target eye concerns. Time Release Technology to slowly release acids into the skin, minimising irritation while maximising performance.

Signature Rewind Peel - £85

Rewind is one of Medik8’s most powerful peel formulations, specifically targeted for premature ageing. A powerful combination of alpha hydroxy acids helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, fading away imperfections to leave the skin smooth and renewed. A controlled peel liberating clients from the choice between results and experience.

50% Total Acid Content - 25% glycolic acid, 20% mandelic acid, 5% pyruvic acid.

Signature Even Peel - £85

Even Peel is specifically designed to target hyperpigmented skin types. It is an effective combination of acids to reduce pigmentation, age spots, post-inflammatory discoloration and marking. It leaves the skin with improved clarity, an even tone, and a natural glow.

Key Benefits - Helps to minimise melanin formation to slow the production of hyperpigmentation. Time Release Technology to slowly release acids into the skin, minimising irritation while maximising performance.

50% Total Acid Content - 40% lactic acid, 10% glycolic acid.

Signature Clarity Peel - £85

Clarity is one of Medik8’s most effective and concentrated peel formulations. It has been specifically formulated to successfully target blemish-prone, problematic, and congested skin types. It contains a supercharged combination of acids to unblock pores, minimise the formation of blemishes and normalise cell turnover.

Key Benefits - Incorporates small amounts of BHAs salicylic acid and lipohydroxy acid to significantly enhance the penetration of the acids through pores. Time Release Technology to slowly release acids into the skin, minimising irritation while maximising performance.

Pre-peel CSA Preparation:

NON-INFLAMED ACNE

Pre-peel CSA skin preparation at least 2 weeks prior to first peel and is advised to include the addition of Clarity Peptides. A course of Signature Clarity Peels exposure time can be increased as skin builds tolerance. 10 - 14 days in between peeling treatments.

INFLAMED ACNE

Pre-peel CSA skin preparation at least 4 weeks prior to first peel and must include the addition of Clarity Peptides. Your practitioner will start on lighter peel options; Sensitive PHA and Mono Mandelic, slowly introducing peeling acids – increasing peel concentration and length of time the peel in on the skin for as inflammation reduces. 3 - 4 weeks in between peeling treatments.

*Fitzpatrick IV-VI - need 4 weeks CSA prep before a Medik8 peel

 

Mono Glycolic 30TR, 50TR and 70TR Peels - £85

Powerful anti-ageing single acid peels Mono Glycolic, available in 3 recognised strengths to help soften lines and wrinkles, reduce the appearance of pigmentation, and soften scarring. Infused with Time Release Technology to slowly release acids into the skin, minimising irritation while maximising performance.

Advanced Layering Medik8 Professional Peels - £120

We are at the forefront of the professional skincare sector, and we are leading the way in creating comfortable, convenient peeling systems with unquestionable performance to deliver real results on the skin quickly.

Through research and innovation, we are now able to push the boundaries as to what results we can generate from skin peels by introducing Mono peels at different percentages as layers to accelerate skin results further.

We have a comprehensive offering of Mono peels for every skin type or concern. However, no layering can be performed on Fitzpatrick skin type 5 and 6.

 

Layering Medik8 Peels - The Benefits

 

Intensify Results

Once the skin can tolerate Signature or Mono peel comfortably on the skin for the total 10-minute exposure to the skin.

Using Medik8 Mono peels to layer additional acids on top to increase skin regeneration and get faster results.

Pre-peel consultation & patch test

The initial pre-peel consultation should take place approximately 2 weeks before performing the first peel treatment. Patch test to be performed at initial pre-peel consultation.

 

Pre-peel skin preparation

Clients must prepare their skin with CSA before having any Medik8 Peel, covered in your consultation.

Fitzpatrick I-III - need 2 weeks CSA prep before a Medik8 peel.

Fitzpatrick IV-VI - need 4 weeks CSA prep before a Medik8 peel, including our High-Strength Oxyresveratrol Brightening Peptide Serum.

CSA routines to be tailored to client’s individual skin requirements.

 

 

 

Peel Contraindications

• Sunburned skin
   
• Open cuts in the area
   
• Significant immunosuppression
   
• Active bacterial, viral or fungal infection
   
• Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
   
• Roaccutane use in the last 6-12 months
   
• Collagen vascular disease
   
• Allergy to aspirin (Clarity Peel only)

 

What Do I Need To Do?

• Treat the skin gently (stop using wash cloths and facial sponges)
   
• Allow the skin to peel naturally, do not pick at skin
   
• Minimise sun exposure
   
• Apply SPF liberally and wear even when cloudy. If in direct sunlight, SPF should be reapplied every two hours
   
• If you are prone to hyperpigmentation, it is recommended to use pigment suppressants to minimise the risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation before and after your peel - speak with your practitioner for specific recommendations

 

What Should I Avoid?

• Do not expose the skin to sun or sun lamps for 4 weeks
  
• Avoid leave on AHAs, BHAs or physical exfoliants for one week
   
• Avoid wash off AHAs and BHA cleansers for 3 days post peel
   
• Avoid make-up when the skin is peeling post peel
   
• Avoid self-tan for one week post peel
   
• Avoid heat treatments (sauna etc) for 24 hours post peel
   
• Avoid swimming and exercising for 24 hours post peel
   

 

Three Days Post Peel

• Return to your usual skincare routine, avoiding exfoliation for at least a week after peel.
• Do not use leave on AHAs, BHAs or physical exfoliants for one week following a one-off chemical peel treatment, (Press & Glow, Blemish Control Pads, Pore Minimising Tonic, Glycolic Activator & Sleep Glycolic)
• Sleep Glycolic is a great option for use during your course to help maintain results.
• If you are having less frequent peels (e.g., every 3 months), then Sleep Glycolic is ideal to use in between peels to maintain and optimise results.

 

How CSA Facilitates Peeling Benefits

Overall, side effects tend to be minimal. However, the importance of resisting the urge to pick or peel away at the skin to avoid scarring. This is especially important for those with darker skin tones. Some clients might experience some skin discoloration around day three after treatment, especially when treating sunspots and acne scarring, though it dissipates independently.

The T&C's
 

• You will need to attend a medical consultation, there is a £25 consultation fee payable. However, if you book in your procedure, the £25 will be redeemed off your first treatment. A vital part of your journey to check medical history /any contraindications and areas of concern before any filler appointments can be performed. We all have different needs and aspirations, so during your consultation, we will discuss what results can be achieved.·
   
• A total of £40 deposit is required on the consultation day
   
• 48 hours notice is required to move any scheduled appointment, otherwise we cannot transfer the deposit money to the new appointment date.
