How Does It Work?…

The Plasma Pen hand-piece produces a tiny plasma flash which leaps from tip to the skin in a micro-millimetre sized point. This superficial point minimises the skin in its immediate vicinity - which reduces the excess skin and re-tightens. A series of tiny brown spots are strategically placed to attain the desired result for the excess skin. The skin around the spot tightens, pulling the cells closer together. It's the only treatment to successfully reduce the excess skin.

The plasma flash we create transfers to the skin with absolute precision and does not harm any of the surrounding tissue. This thermal disruption later causes excess skin to dry superficially into tiny carbon crusts which fall off in the form of tiny flakes within a matter of days. Simultaneously, our plasma penetrates the fibroblasts contained within the dermis below and this stimulates accelerated division & migration of collagen cells. The dermis is actually composed of approximately 95% collagen. Fibroblasts rarely undergo division within connective tissues unless they’re stimulated by a wound healing process or an inflammatory response and we do exactly that with Plasma Pen which is why we call it fibroblasting.

Increased levels of type 3 collagen production occur for weeks and months after the micro-trauma we create and this then synthesises into tougher type 1 collagen. Collagen and elastin are essential to maintaining fibrillar viscoelasticity and the activation of the inflammatory response by our Plasma Pen directly helps improve viscoelasticity.

We also encourage neovascularisation, which is the natural formation of new blood vessels and we promote the release of growth factors. These growth factors include fibroblast growth factors, platelet-derived endothelial growth factors and cytokines. Cytokines are small proteins important in cell signalling & which affect the behaviour of cells around them.

Plasma Skin Tightening Pre-Care…

1. Avoid any kind of tanning - (spray tanning, tanning injections, sun tanning and tanning beds) for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Ideally, you should try to use SPF 5O, to prep your skin for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skinned.
   
   * If you are displaying signs of cold or flu the treatment should be rescheduled.
   * Contact lenses must be removed when performing treatment on the upper eyelids.
   * Skin should not be inflamed in the area we are treating prior to procedure.
   * Eyelash extensions receiving upper or lower eyelid treatment MUST have lashes removed prior to treatment and reapplied after 8 weeks.
    
2. Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you intend to have treated with Plasma Pen, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, as this may prevent your treatment being performed by your technician at the time you want it.
   
   * No facial acids (retin A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or 21 days after Plasma Pen.
   * No Botox or fillers 21 days before or after Plasma Pen.
   * No Micro needling/PRP 21 days before or after Plasma Pen.
   * No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after Plasma Pen.
   * Surgical procedures like face lifts you must wait at least 9 months post op / before Plasma Pen.
   * Take Vitamin C to help with the healing process.

The aftercare process following a Plasma Pen treatment is straightforward and involves a lot of common sense. It is very important that the Plasma fibroblast aftercare instructions are followed as if they are breached in some way, perhaps by choosing to go on a sunbed the following day, the treatment is at risk of being hindered and an unsatisfactory end result could be the outcome.

 

 

Our Top Tips For Plasma Fibroblast Aftercare…

In order to provide the best service possible, here is a list of our recommendations, top tips, best practices, and advice to consider in your own personal plasma aftercare regime:

• Over the first few days, plasma crusts will form on the skin. Do not pick these! They will naturally fall off after a few days.
   
• Keep the plasma crusts moist by applying our Plasma Pen Silver Colloidal Gel with Aloe Vera.This will be discussed at your consultation . is an over the counter product that does not require a prescription. It is a powerful and natural anti-bacterial/anti-viral product where the two main active ingredients (colloidal silver and aloe vera) work in tandem to soothe inflamed skin and then heal it fast. This is why we now recommend it as part of the patient aftercare regime over dry healing, up to three times a day. This will provide relief from itching and assist the healing process.
   
• There may be some mild swelling up to 5-days post-treatment. This is completely normal, and usually only very minor.
   
• You must not cover the treated area with plasters, dressings, make- up or creams until the area is healed, and only use the healing creams provided by your technician.
   
• Taking Vitamin C supplements during the healing process can give your immune system the big boost it may need to repair.
   
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption in the run up to your treatment, and during the healing process. Try to avoid smoking after the treatment as much as possible.
   
• Wear SPF 50+ sunscreen and facial creams every single day in the run up to the treatment and after the healing process for up to 12 weeks.
   
• We recommend you avoid exercising within the first few days after a treatment as the heat, steam or sweat may add to inflammation caused by the treatment.

* Clients will be advised at the time of consultation how many treatments are needed per treatment area.

* A 50% deposit will be payable on all of our Plasma Fibroblast treatments. We do require 48hours notice if you need to amend / re schedule your appointment so that we can transfer your deposit, sadly if this notice is not done, the deposit will be non refundable. I’m sure you can appreciate these services will be in extremely high demand and we want to be able offer any cancellations to clients who are waiting. Thank you!

* We offer a reduction of price for any follow up treatments within a 12 month period. This will only apply to the same area that has been initially treated. As the number of treatments required and the length and complexity of treatment required by the plasma pen technician to deliver the patients most optimal/ desired result, will differ from client to client. This will be discussed at your Plasma consultation.

* 20% reduction if you choose a second treatment on the same area.

* 30% reduction if you choose a third treatment on the same area.
